Customer reviews are a great way to research a product and find out if it truly delivers. Here are a few reviews from owners of the Intex Easy Set 8-Foot-by-30-Inch Pool Set.
Last year I bought an Aero pool that was not worth the $100+ I spent for it, and was a huge pain to boot. This year I bought this pool, and yes it takes more than 30 minutes to put together, yes 2 people to set up is better than one, and yes I have to air up the ring pretty much before each use. But you get terrific value for price. My 8 year old, 6 year old and 4 year old and up to 2-3 friends have all used it. They’re even able to swim under water which is great. And it’s terrific for kids learning to swim. It’s not as great as an in-ground pool, but for someone with a small backyard, it’s great. My kids want to swim every day now. I don’t usually write reviews but considering the price and the use we’re getting out of it, it’s great!
This is the only 8 foot pool I could find with a filtration system. And for $50, was well worth the money. My kids have played in it every day this summer. With proper water chemistry, everything stayed nice and clean all summer and I only had to change the water once (just too much grass and dirt collected). The vinyl held up well to the pool chemicals and — while noisy — the circulation pump seems to be lasting a long time too. I assume this pool will last at least one more season and my hope is maybe a few more! I have the pool sitting on a wooden deck and the bottom is strong enough to span the decking boards (no more than a quart inch between boards) without being an issue.
