Customer reviews are a great way to research a product and find out if it truly delivers. Here are a few owner comments from Bayou Classic SP10 High-Pressure Outdoor Gas Cooker reviews.

I used the SP10 for the first time last weekend. It was about 50 degrees out and I got a 8 gal. keg of cold tap water up to a boil in about 30 minutes; very impressed. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that because i was using such a large vessel (a bit wider than the unit itself) much of the escaping heat burned a lot of the black paint on the unit and emitted a not too pleasant smell for some time. I guess this is inevitable, and they probably just paint them for ascetic reasons, but this is a hot flame! I also bought an extra burner (model BG10) for about $10 and a 20psi regulator kit, so if you had an extra stand or could improvise, that would be another way to go to get the same quality heat.

I got this burner primarily to cook with my 26″ round bottom carbonized steel wok (one of those inexpensive ones you find at every Asian grocery store) and it does not disappoint. It is loud; kind of like those burners on a hot air balloon, but that only adds to the experience of power (insert Tim Taylor grunts)! Using it definitely gives you that taste the Chinese call the “breath of the wok”; that barely singed edges of the veggies that you usually can only get going to a restaurant with a monster burner under their wok. I just hook it up to my tank under my gas grill and crank up them BTU’s. Before buying it I wondered if it would run my tank down really fast, but it is so hot I only have to run it for 2-5 minutes and I am done.
