We just bought and tried this fire ring during Memorial Day weekend , and it works perfectly, and puts out a lot of heat. We were camping in a campground that didn’t have fire pits. All 4 of us were quite impressed, as we sat out in the cool night. With a full 5 gallon bottle of propane, with the fire on it’s highest output, it lasted an easy 4-1/2 hours by the time we shut it off, and it still was not out of propane — but the flame was about 50% at that time. So, I would guess that we could have got 5 hours out of it. If you want more time, use a larger propane bottle, like a 7.5 gallon bottle. Anyway, when you can’t have a fire and you want one, this is excellent for the price. Or, if you want to use it on your back patio, it’s perfect.
I took this product with me on our annual girls camping trip. Campfires were prohibited due to the severe dry/hot weather we’d had this year – In Washington, it’s been the hottest/driest summer on record. Having the fire ring for all to enjoy at night gave us the true feeling of a campfire. It’s easy to set up, Easy to use, and legal in campgrounds because it’s a controlled fire.
